The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) invites
the public to ring in the New Year by riding public transit. With tens of thousands of people expected to
attend the annual New Year’s Eve fireworks at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, the MTA is encouraging riders
to take public transit to avoid driving and parking hassles.
The MTA will operate the following schedules on Saturday, December 31, 2011 and Sunday, January 1,
2012.
LOCAL BUS: Regular schedule on Saturday, December 31, 2011
Sunday/Holiday schedule on Sunday, January 1st & Monday, January 2nd
LIGHT RAIL: Regular schedule on Saturday, December 31st with extended service for the Fire Works
Display.
(Light Rail will operate 1 hour after the Fire Works Display)
Sunday/Holiday schedule on Sunday, January 1st & Monday, January 2nd
METRO SUBWAY: Regular schedule on Saturday, December 31st with extended service for the Fire
Works Display.
(Metro Subway will operate 1 hour after the Fire Works Display)
Sunday/Holiday schedule on Sunday, January 1st & Monday, January 2nd
MARC TRAIN: No Service on January 2nd, 2012
Early departures on Friday, December 30th, 2011
COMMUTER BUS: No Service on January 2nd, 2012

Bus route 201 will operate a Weekend/Holiday schedule on New Year’s Day.
MOBILITY: Transportation Service: Holiday Schedule. All standing rides are canceled. Customers
must call to reschedule January 1st rides.
MOBILITY CERTIFICATION OFFICE: Closed on December 30th, 2011 & January 2nd, 2012
CALL CENTER: Holiday Hours 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
TRANSIT STORE: Closed on December 30th, 2011 & January 2nd, 2012

The Mondawmin Metro Subway Station Customer Service Center Booth
will be closed Saturday (12/31/11), Sunday (01/01/12) and Monday (01/02/12).
