This Friday, August 19, at 9 a.m., Sheriff Rex W. Coffey, CCSO School Resource officers, members of the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation and baseball players from the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs will meet and greet 100 Charles County kids ages 10 – 14 for the county’s second annual Badges for Baseball camp. The camp is a free program sponsored by the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation that offers local youth free baseball instruction from the pros and the opportunity to work side-by-side with sheriff’s officers who will help mentor and guide participants.
