The Prince George’s County Health Department Is Offering Free Walk-in Flu Shots
The Prince George’s County Health Department will be hosting a free walk-in flu clinic on Wednesday, October 13 at Spring Hill Lake Recreation Center in an effort to ensure that all residents interested in a flu shot will be able to receive one.
“As flu season approaches, it is important that every individual in the CDC target population have access to the seasonal flu vaccine,” said Health Officer, Donald Shell, M.D., M.A. “For that reason, we are offering an opportunity for the public to come in to a clinic and receive a flu vaccine free of charge.”
The flu vaccine will be administered October 13, 2010 from 12 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Lake Recreation Center located at 6101 Cherrywood Lane Greenbelt, MD.
Other opportunities for the public to receive flu shots include:
The 6th Annual Holiday Food and Fitness Expo on November 6th at the Wayne K. Curry Sports and Learning Complex located at 8001 Sherriff Road Landover, MD from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Private, Parochial and home schooled children may receive a free intranasal (flu mist) flu vaccination from the Prince George’s County Health Department from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the following locations:
